Translating Contemporary Crime Fiction
A workshop with Petros Markaris and David Connolly

Petros Markaris and his translator David Connolly, introduce Inspector Costas Haritos, the Greek Maigret and hero of The Late-Night News, the first in a new series of Harvill thrillers set in Greece and centered round the grumpy but irresistible figure of Inspector Costas Haritos (Harvill 2004).

No knowledge of Greek required.

The workshop is part of the annual Translation Days, organized by the British Centre for Literary Translation on 19 and 20 September 2004.
